Summer Curlcare | Combatt Frizz | Bouclème
Frizz is a common concern for many curlies during the warmer season and the best way to deal with humidity and heat is keeping your hair moisturised.

So, what’s the best way to achieve that? Here are some tips to try this summer:

Oils are your friend

Warmer weather is the perfect time to reach for oils. Use them to protect curls before cleansing or blend with Curl Conditioner or Intensive Moisture Treatment for added moisture. Revive 5 Hair Oil features five nourishing but weightless oils - Moringa, Mongongo, Daikon Seed, Virgin Coconut and Olive - and it also comes in a sparkly limited-edition for that extra summer glow. Stock up on conditioner

Frizz typically occurs when your curls are dry and lack moisture so hydration is key. Stock up on our Curl Conditioner — our unique formulation penetrates deep into the hair cuticle, replenishing much-needed moisture in your hair. Experiment with leaving-in or rinsing partially to find your perfect level of hydration. Try our supersized 1 litre bottles so you won’t have to worry about running out.

Pro tip: try rinsing your hair with cool or cold water to close hair cuticles and seal moisture in.

Freshen up your curls in between washes

No matter how often you wash your hair in summer, you are likely to be in need of extra moisture in between washes. In an empty spritz bottle, mix water with a few pumps of Revive 5 Hair Oil and 1 pump or 2 of Curl Cream, depending on the density of your hair. Focus on the length of your curls as you spritz and finger detangle gently where needed. Leave it to air dry and watch your curls spring back!

Embrace it

As much as we try to limit frizz and keep our curls defined, high-moisture air in summer can still have an effect on your hair. If all else fails, just embrace the frizz and love your curls in all its new found volume!
